GLASS – A SUSTAINABLE ALL-ROUNDER
Glass is produced almost exclusively from raw materials that occur naturally. Since most of the raw materials are mined and processed in Germany, our transport routes are relatively short. We try to make a contribution to environmental and climate protection when purchasing the raw material.
Glass plays an extremely important role in various areas of life. In the food industry, among others, where it is used to preserve the composition, nutrients and taste of food. Glass plays an equally important role in pharmaceuticals. In the pharmaceutical industry, for example, glass is used to package drugs that require a stable pH value.
By optimizing our processes and avoiding faulty production, we are very careful with our resources. Any remains and the ampoule emptied by the end user are recycled. Our glass is thus in an environmentally friendly cycle.
A high-quality product should also be packaged securely and of high quality. For this reason, all PHARMA GLAS ampoules are made of premium glass / borosilicate glass of the 1st hydrolytic class (type I).
